Michelle Lettrich is the founder of Brown Eyed Baker, a recipe website packed with desserts, comfort food, and easy dinners.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Michelle Lettrich stumbled across a food blog for the first time in February of 2007. Living at a distance from friends and family and feeling cabin fever that winter, starting a blog of her own seemed like a perfect outlet for combining her love of baking and her love of writing. Before she became a full-time blogger, Michelle worked as a marketing analyst.
Michelle is entirely self-taught when it comes to the kitchen, learning as she goes through cookbooks, magazines, television shows, the Internet, and a tremendous amount of trial and error. When she’s in the kitchen, she tries to channel the confidence of her grandma, who baked by feel; her hands knew when dough was ready and she never second-guessed herself.
Michelle strives to pass that confidence along to her followers, too!
Michelle loves chocolate, cheesecake, and cheesy dips. When she’s not in the kitchen covered in flour, she loves watching sports, lacing up her ice hockey skates, obsessing over my fantasy football team, playing a rousing game of 500 Bid, or spending time with her husband and three kids.
